Re: Class of '06 - Where Are You Applying

For classes at Cal Poly Pomona, it has been a slight bit hard to go by the flow chart for what classes I'm supposed to take. You don't get to pick your professor or time of the class because they fill up really quick. You have to pretty much take whatever you can get. Anyway, I have always been able to get a full course load and it isn't like I've had to take any filler classes that don't count for anything related to me. So far I've had instances where I can't get what the flowchart recommends, but I can take something else further ahead on the chart instead. And I haven't had to add any classes either, I've been able to get a full schedule in pre-registration. So, I wouldn't say it's too bad at the Cal Polys, at least not yet. There are some classes that there aren't enough of for the demand, but it is manageable. |

Re: Class of '06 - Where Are You Applying
'Cause I live in New York and Michigan is far away.
Hmm...my list has changed a bit. Here's where I applied (and I'm all done with applications, woohoo!). I'm still planning on doing Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, however. RPI UVa UDel WPI Cornell University Clarkson University University at Buffalo Binghamton University Stony Brook University (In order of where I want to go). And yes I know its a lot - I ended up adding Clarkson, Cornell and WPI only a few weeks ago and ended up not liking Binghamton University's program after I had applied there. I haven't been accepted anywhere - didn't apply "Early Action" nor "Early Decision" anywhere. I'll update you all in April. ![]() |

Re: Class of '06 - Where Are You Applying
Oh .. college applications .. those were the days ... ...
For those of you Canadians who are just starting to consider applications .. I'm at UofT now for engineering science. PM me or email me if you want more information on what its *really* like instead of what UofT admins tell you its going to be. |

The rest are regular action. Congrats on Purdue, Corey. If you ever visit let me know, I'd be happy to show you around as most of my time is spent near campus or on it. |

Re: Class of '06 - Where Are You Applying
Feel free to direct questions about MIT this way. Find me on AIM, especially if you're planning to visit campus soon and need a "non-traditional" tour.
Oh, and I know a little something about Cornell too since I live in Ithaca (where it dominates life) ![]() |

Re: Class of '06 - Where Are You Applying
yeahhh well being that I am from the big state of NJ, I am inclined to stay in NJ so my two top schools are:
Stevens Institue of Tech New Jersey Institute of Tech yeahh i apparently can get some good money to them so it just depends on the financial offers I can get from both... |
