http://www.firstcadlibrary.com/

I am not sure what exactly you are looking for, it would be helpful if you were specific. FIRST cad library has drawings of a lot of parts given out by FIRST. Andy-Mark site sales parts (transmission, wheels). You can also go to how stuff works and search for anything you are looking for mechanically.

Re: I need mechanical

Welcome Nathan, and good luck with your new team!

Make sure you also check out some of last years information and other resources on the FIRST website. Look on the "Team Resources" and "Documents and Updates" pages (menu on the left) to find tons of other useful websites, last years game manual including the complete kit of parts listing, and some game and assembly videos. The robot rules and kit contents are normally very similar from year to year.

Also be sure to use this site frequently. Everyone here is always ready to help if you have any specific questions.

Re: I need mechanical

Here's a thread about where to get all sorts of parts if that's what you are looking for. Most of them are in the US though but many will ship internationally. http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=31971

Re: I need mechanical

The Chief Delphi White Papers are a great source of info. A couple on drive systems and robot mechanics which I have found useful are:
2005 Drive Systems
Advanced Drivetrain Seminar

This is probably not what you had in mind when you posted your question, but FIRST posted a Robot Design guide for Vex competitors. It has a whole lot of good tips and brainstorming suggestions which should help any technology team (not just Vex) - but especially rookies.

Does http://www.firstcadlibrary.com/ give you what you need?
Also, the Virtual Kit of Parts, a library of CAD models for everything in the Kit of Parts, is supposed to be made available by AutoDesk after kickoff.
