I don't think this means that the game will a water game, but it might have something to do with: direction, dead reckoning or maybe even a playing field that has more that one height differention, just a thought...
That's an interesting fact. It seems to me that this is probably not the case, but maybe people are prevented from seeing the playing field, and your robot will have to keep track of where it is? This is a little farfetched, I'll admit.
