Go to Post Or you could go to the Waterloo or Greater Toronto regional, walk up to anyone in their pit, and ask. You may end up feeling like you asked for a sip of water and ended up soaked by a fire hose, but you won't walk away disappointed. - Richard Wallace [more]

Detroit hotels

Since there's no listing of hotels for Detroit, and we've never been there, does anyone have any hotel recommendations?
We'd really like to be close to shopping/food and have a hotel with a restaurant/lounge and an indoor pool. We have a bus, so driving isn't a problem, but we'd like to be within 15 minutes drive time of the venue.
Thanks for any advice anyone can offer!

Re: Detroit hotels

I live where in Detroit and I can say that there are many fine hotels. I can help you more if i knew if you were driving or flying. Because its a big difference of which you are doing.

Re: Detroit hotels

Look in Madison Heights or Troy. The "best" area with a wide variety of hotel/motel prices, and about 10 miles up I-75.

You should look at the Hotels in Southfield if you don't look at at Troy,Rochester Hills,Warren,or Detroit.
