Go to Post Hall of Fame FIRST Team 254 has arguably helped more teams become good than any other team in FIRST. I don't think they need a lecture on helping their opponents. - Karthik [more]

I've seen them, I'm not really interested in them. My team is hard at work on one challenge, we don't need a second one. They do seem interesting though.

Re: Does anyone do the challenges on vexrobotics.com

We haven't had time to do any of the vexrobotics.com challenges. We've been busy building Vex bots for WPI's Savage Soccer, the FVC Challenge, and our own experiments building 1/3 scale FRC bots out of Vex kits.

I think more people would try these challenges, if there was a way for them to meet and run the challenges and compare notes. A non-competitive tournament / showcase that would also build more interest in Vex.

People like to be able to show off what they've accomplished.

Re: Does anyone do the challenges on vexrobotics.com

One of the 53 Pilot Vex teams ran its own mini-tournament (12 teams) in December with a decathlon, including sprints, distance racing, javelin, discus, and high jump. (Check out http://contracosta.edu/robotics/Vex_Decathlon.pdf.) Wish we could have been there, but we had already committed to judge/help at the FLL State tourney on the same date.

BTW, does anyone know how many members are allowed on this year's FVC teams, including field participants, like drivers, and non-field participants like non-driving builders, programmers, multi-media, etc.? I couldn't find that info in the Vex area of the FIRST website.
