It is 2.1MP? It didn't look it, but wow. My camera is a 2.1MP, and it does great, so long as you don't want anything bigger than 4x6. I expect this camera to get used by almost everyone on the team at some point, and that will result in a lot of different types of pictures, which will be rather neat. I didn't catch exactly what they said, but something about Google hosting them too? With tags? That would be a seriously cool photo gallery!

Re: Google camera

Even if the camera is not the greatest and doesn't give the highest res pics, you can still do some cool stuff with the pics you get. You can make a big Google mosaic that consists of pictures of your team taken by the Google camera.

Re: Google camera

The purpose of the camera was to take pictures to upload onto Google. They don't want photos that you have to scroll 5 screen-widths to see. 2.1 mpixels is plenty for the purpose.

Re: Google camera

Does anyone know if Google will let us upload any digital photos of a higher resolution than 2.1 MP?

Re: Google camera

I was not insulting the camera. I just stated that Google is very wealthy and "could" afford more. Let me get that straight. Its a great camera.
