Last years versus this years trans. ratios
Does anyone know what last years kit transmission ratio was ? This years appears to be 12.75 to 1 (50/14 * 50/14 teeth). Clearly this years transmission has evolved from last years but have the ratios changed ?

Re: Last years versus this years trans. ratios
The ratios of the 2005 and 2006 Kit Transmission are the same. Your ratios are correct.

Re: Last years versus this years trans. ratios
The internal guts of the kit transmission are exactly the same. The only thing that has changed is IFI added a few more holes to the motor plate to allow the hall effect sensors to be mounted directly to the motor plate. A pretty slick idea from those IFI mechanical guys.

Re: Last years versus this years trans. ratios
Those holes will add at least 2 more feet per second to the top speed.
(for those of you that don't know ... I'm kidding) |
