Re: Got an question on start postion of the robot?

Yes. The robots must start in the 3 5'x5' boxes on either side of the field.

Re: Got an question on start postion of the robot?

yes you can orient them however you want. You just can't use measuring devices to find out exactly where to put the robot, or else the refs will just pick a random location/orientation to put your robot. FIRST is usually lax on start position rules. It's usually just "touching the player station" or "be in the box".

Please, do not get angry, but that is what the search function is for. Check before you post rules questions.

So far, no one has said anything offensive to you, in fact you are the only person to edit a post on this topic. Please, FIRST publishes the manual for a reason. You have been asking extremely simple questions that are easy to find. Read the manual, then if you have a question, search first.

You are allowed to use any measuring devices you want, as long as they are attached to the robot and don't cause it to break any rules (size, weight, or any others). If you use a measuring device that is not secured to the robot, then the head ref will reposition your robot before the match starts.
