who gets the points?

if you are on the opponents platform at the end of the match, does the opponent get the points for having a robot on the platform?

Re: who gets the points?

See Rule <G09>

Quote:
<G09> ROBOT on ALLIANCE PLATFORM - ROBOTs score points if they are entirely on an ALLIANCE PLATFORM at the end of the match. ALLIANCEs receive points for ROBOTs belonging to either ALLIANCE that are on the ALLIANCE PLATFORM closest to the ALLIANCE’s DRIVER station. If any part of the ROBOT is touching the carpet, the ROBOT is not considered on the platform. If a ROBOT is entirely on an ALLIANCE PLATFORM and is touching another ROBOT that is not entirely on the ALLIANCE PLATFORM, it still is considered on the platform. One ROBOT on a platform or ramp is worth 5 points, two ROBOTs are worth 10 points, 3 or more ROBOTs are worth 25 points.
A red robot on the blue alliance platform at the end of the match will earn points for the blue alliance. So the message is: make sure you are at your own end of the field at the end of the match!

Yes, or make sure you steal other robots for your own ramp!

Re: who gets the points?

Or you may choose to do this because say the score is 15 to 5, do some quick math and it may benifit you to go to their side for more QPs, but you must be very careful when doing this as you are kinda playing with fire and if there is a penalty you dident see... you may loose the match for yourself.

Re: who gets the points?

just a random question: what if your able to get an opposing alliance robot on your ramp then you manage to get yourself off the floor, making it so you have FOUR robots on the ramp, would it still be 25 points or would it be more?

Re: who gets the points?

psycho7,
if you read the end of rule <G09>, it states "three OR MORE robots"....on the platform......"are worth 25 points".....

So, no point in dragging the enemy with you to your victory dance on the platform.

But, I think that fashion points should be awarded for getting the tallest robot into the middle position at the end of the match.....

Re: who gets the points?

I have a strange feeling that robot stacking would be against the rules.

I think the below rule covers his feeling.

ROBOTs designed to violate this rule are not allowed. For example, a ROBOT that extends a blocking device in front of the center goal will be disqualified. Transient conditions that may cause a diagonal dimension of the robot to momentarily exceed the 60” height restriction – such as during a tipover or when climbing onto the ALLIANCE PLATFORM – are not subject to this rule. Re: who gets the points?

Also there is the rule about having your robot's faces at no more then a 10 degree tilt, which would be almost impossible for a robot to climb.
