CMUCam pan and tilt

Ok i changed all of the settings so that the camera can find the object but when it tries to track it and move it in the center it goes off of the page. the tilt works perfectly but the pan goes left instead of right and right instead of left. i been working all day and i need some major help because i am going to go insane
