Aim High Game Animation in iPod Format

Hey guys and gals, since not everyone can get Quicktime Pro or wait around for a video to encode, I've created an iPod compatable game animation video.

http://homepages.udayton.edu/~mattjosw/AimHigh.m4v

Right click/ctrl click then download to desktop. Just for those wondering, no part of the video was edited or toyed with, you can play them side-by-side, the only difference is in the size and encoding.

I thought many will use it to describe FIRST better to those who have no idea when you don't have your laptop.

Re: Aim High Game Animation in iPod Format

I've been playing with it for a few minuets and I cant seem how to get it on the iPod...but then again me and my iPod aren't the best of friends. So how would I go about getting it on there?

Edit: Maybe becuase it's a nano?

Yep, only works on Fifth Generation iPods.

I haven't looked at it but I would assume that to view the file you would need a video capable iPod.

I'm at robotics now, but when I get home I'll get you all a version that can play on any iPod with a color screen.

The background music to the AIM HIGH animation has a fast moving gritty delta blues with a southern good ole boy feel.
I'd say that I don't like it as much as the music from 2005 but that's to negative

Re: Aim High Game Animation in iPod Format

This is good news and all, but I also have more to add! For anyone who wants to view movies on their new iPod, here's an easy way (at least for me to convert 'em.)

1. Download PSP Video 9
2. After installed, hit the setup tab, and set the the One-Click Profile drop down menu so it says "SP/320x240/29.97fps/768kbps Stereo/128kbps"
3. Now, Hit Convert, then the "One-Click Transcode" button, and select the file you wish to convert. It will automatically begin converting. Depending on your CPU speed, it will go faster or slower. (My Athlon XP 2600+ takes about 20 mins to convert 30 mins of video.)
4. The files will be saved in the output folder you specified.

Here's a pic of what my setup screen looks like. The most inportant part is that the One-Click Profile looks exactly the way it is on my pic. Your output folder doesn't matter, as long as you remember where it is

After the file is converted, rename it to something you will remember, and simply drag it into iTunes when you want to put it on your iPod.

Re: Aim High Game Animation in iPod Format

so does this psp video 9 thing only convert videos that u can watch ONLY if you have the 5th gen. ipod video? I currently have a Nano and was just wondering if there is anyway to get the animation(or just any video) viewable on it.

If you have a nano and want to put a MP4 or H264 ideo on it, you can out Linux on it. Search iPod Linux on google and there are a few options for the physical Linux, and most of them allow you to put video on your Nano. Also, to boot most Linux, you need to reset your nano and hold down the rewind button until Linux shows up. The Linux also has better games and is a relatively small kernel. The only issue is that you an't listen to music at the same time as you are playing games. Overall Linux is great.

If you take the Acrobat reader and save the files, you can save them as .txt. Go to Save As and under file type, select .txt. Then you can put the file on your iPod in the normal way.

Re: Aim High Game Animation in iPod Format

mtbkr5-- No, you must have an iPod video to view these files. In regards to the nano's ability to play movies, it probably wont fit in the nano's 2-4gb of space. I think that the nano's screen may be the wrong resolution for the video that pspvideo exports. I dont want to say that the nano CANNOT play movies for sure, for fear of being wrong. I was not aware that they could.
