Bumper ball herder?

I've read the rules and they don't seem to condemn hinging the bumpers in order to swing them out and herd balls with. The official Q&A Forum is on pause so I guess I'm asking for some opinions on the matter.

Re: Bumper ball herder?

I think its fine, as long as you stay in your max expansion of 60"x60"x60", and you dont stick a bumper inside the goal or something.

Re: Bumper ball herder?

Soft balls tend to get pinched and stick unless you have very slippery material covering it and it's mounted low. You may have ground clearance issues if you plan to climb the ramp.
