when your dinning room tabel turns into a design table the day after kick off, covered in tissue boxes, toilet paper rolls, and pitiful model robots held together with tape.

-when the janitors know your name but your parents forgot
-when your dining table still is covered from last years designs
-when you know you have been in too long but you just want to stay in longer
-when you run out of space to store robots so you decide to paint them on the wall
-when you are looking randomly online (during "off season") and say this would really cool on a robot

That song haunts my dreams. But in a good way.

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...

1. When you try to make it so your team meets more often because you think your team is behind schedual.
2. When all your mentors know where your house is because they have to drive you home at 3am all the time.
3. When you do all your homework in advance for a whole week on the day you dont meet on.
4. When you write papers about robotics and other technical stuff in english class, because its the only thing you think about.
5. When you design an entire robot in CAD just for fun during the off season.
6. When you prototype your idea for a design using VEX the day after kickoff- and it works

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...

When you disassemble your own shop power tools to use the parts to build a mechanism prototype because you can't wait 24 hours for a build session at the school.

And you are a mentor who is *cough* years old.
