Re: WOW! 6 passenger micro jet, 430mph!

Being involved in the aviation community through my studies here at Purdue, I'm pretty excited about these new Very Light Jets (VLJ) that will hopefully be hitting the market in the next 5 to 10 years. EDIT: [I guess I'm trying to say that I think it will take that long for the market to be saturated with these VLJs and then along with the implementation of some kind of small air transportation system, but hey it's just my guess]. I did a group project about a year ago that encompassed the Eclipse 500 and I really learned a lot about aircraft and just how cool jets like these would really be. What's even more exciting is the Small Aircraft Transportation System (SATS) Project that is currently taking place that would utilize these VLJs and other small aircraft. I'm looking forward to the SATS system because it would provide myself with a whole other career path that would not be with the larger major and national carriers in the United States or even with the larger international airports in the United States. I could go on and on about benefits and whatnot that would be provided by a SATS system and these small jets, but these websites do a pretty good job.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens with the VLJs and SATS since the aviation industry is never very consistent.
