One of the NYC team has an “Abort—A-Poofball” program since the life expectance of the balls are short.

Donate money to buy one poofball and your name is inscribed on one practice ball.
Some contributor are dressing up their poofballs with markers, but care and feeding of the proofball by their owners is optional.
