Dewalts modification suggestion

If you are shifting with Dewalt transmissions and if it seems your servo doesn't have enough torque while shifting you may consider removing the spring clip on the top of White Plastic Shifter Tube. This locks into indentations on the bottom of the Magnesium Housing, more specifically, underneath the numbers that indicate which gear you are in.

as per Dr. Joe's request here is a picture, items in red are the ones previously mentioned.

gl everyone

P.S. credit to RogerR for this solution

Re: Dewalts modification suggestion

We had this problem in competition with one of our DeWalts, and instead of totally removing the clip, I just bent the clip in with some needle nose pliers so that it provided less resistance.
The clips are nice because the lock the DeWalt into a gear, so your servos don't have to be calibrated as precisely.
