Go to Post FIRST robots definitely meet many commonly agreed upon definitions of robots. Some will disagree. Good for them. In my opinion, it's not worth arguing over. - Mikell Taylor [more]

Re: Vision Target Assembly

The pieces required to build it are included in this year's kit of parts, in the National Instruments box (if I am not mistaken).

The HDPE, and the green Cold Cathode Light kits were supplied, but the housing was not. From the FRC_Vision_Target_Sheets posted on the 2006 FRC Documentation page, it lists the housing as being a Hammond Aluminum Enclosure, 8"x16"x2".

We got two of these from Mouser:
http://www.mouser.com/index.cfm?handler=displayproduct&lstdispproductid= 258397&e_categoryid=69&e_pcodeid=54605

The rest of the smaller items (terminal block, etc), we found equivalent parts in our surplus drawers.

Hope that helps

Re: Vision Target Assembly

we used 2x2 wood and made a frame, screwed the HDPE to it and glued the cathode tubes to the HDPE. Simple and cheap.
