Interest in aftermarket sensors
I'm trying to gauge potential interest in aftermarket sensors for FIRST Robots.
The reason I ask is, a fellow team member and I have a design for a single-board INS with triaxial accelerometers and an onboard DSP for filtering. We can get the PCBs produced in large runs very cheaply. We are considering putting the boards in a nice case and selling them with a CD of pre-fab RC-side code. Though it's too late for anyone to integrate new sensors into their design for this year, I wonder what kind of sensors would interest you, and how much you would be willing to pay for them? Ideas besides the INS include an IR rangefinder and a tilt sensor. |
