I tend to sleep. then sleep some more, actually do my homework, and practice once again for orchestra rehearsal. a lot of the fun is gone, though.

You mean there actually is a time of the year when there is no robotics?!? OMG, where have I been?

All along I've always thought the year was broken down into the build-season, competition-season, post/off-season, and the pre-season. Does this mean there is extra months in the year? Because I can really use some of those...

Edit: I think its funny that this is also my 333rd post.

lol yeah, I'm in the same boat...raise money/preare for season, then build the robot, after ship (for this year) we need to build a cart still havent done that , go to the comp, organize for other in-school presentations, etc. and try to get things ready for next year, where we do it all over again...the only time we get a break is summer vacation really because we can't get into the school, but I work on the website, and other stuff that I can do at home.

Find and get in touch with the team nearest your 2007 season location. If it happens to be your old team, stick with them. If you're going to college far away, find a team there!

Many folks go on to help out teams as a college student. Some stay with their old teams, while others go on to other teams (or start new ones).

Historically, the folks on my team largely shut down for a month or two after Palmetto. (The team, for some reason, gripes about strange things, like "sleep," that I just can't comprehend.) Then, over summer, we'll get the ball rolling again for next season

I'm not gonna lie, I don't do a whole lot during the off season. Most of the time I spend hanging out with my friends who play M:TG.

Re: after robotics

I work on average of about 50 hours in the summertime, and about 30 during school. Plus there is also the fact that one of my best friends lives on a lake. And you cant forget for those people that live in the Midwest "Cedar Point" LOL
