Program 2005 robot with EasyC?

Our team doesn't have a working 2006 robot together yet (we've been working on things like the launcher.) Would it be possible to use EasyC to program last year's robot? (we didn't really do any programming last year) Thanks

Re: Program 2005 robot with EasyC?

I'm pretty sure you can do that. However, you need to change the device which easyC downloads to. To do that, go to 'Build and Download' , then to select device. From there, you can choose the 04/05 controller and program away!

Re: Program 2005 robot with EasyC?

Francis is correct. easyC for FRC supports the 2004, 2005 and 2006 FRC controllers. You must switch between the 06 and 04/05 controllers because the 06 controller has a different PIC with more memory. If you would like to know more about this option, please check out easyC's help file. It has a lot of good information for teams that are just starting to play with programming their bots. There are some very helpful tutorials in the Getting Started section of the help file that should bring you up to speed pretty quickly. Good Luck!
