Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
our drivetrain weighs 52 Lbs, is that a lot for a drivetrain? (fully functional drivetrain)
Overall I think we are at about 75, without electronics or shooter.. I think we will manage though. |

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
I dont know officially how much weighs, but I know that with the full drive train, wheels and electronics, I can still pick it up. Therefore it must not be too heavy :-p

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
we've got...um...like 5 lbs, but that's because we just have one part of the frame bolted together. we calculated the motors, frame, polycarb, sprockets, compressor, transmissions and pistons to weight about 50 lbs. no calcs on the chain or the electronics yet.

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
With actual weighs on most of the heavier items, our projected weight right now is 94 pounds. That includes 4 CIM motors, 2 Big CIMs, and the compressor.

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
This year we'll probably be underweight by 10 pounds or more so we'll have to come up with other devices to add to it

So far we are ahead of schedule compared to previous years. Our chassis weighs in at about 52 pounds, complete with gearboxes, motors, sprockets, chains - less electronics. I am sure we will be putting in a lot of speed holes during week six.

Our upper frame part so far has only brought that number up 20 lbs. We are around 70 now, but that will fluctuate a lot from now until the end of the week. We are doing good, but the upper part is far from complete. It'll happen though. |

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
At the moment our robot weighs about 90 lbs and we dont have much to add, just a few more things for reinforcement and such, we should have some weight space.

Re: Halfway through build: How much does your robot weigh?
ours weighs about 60 pounds right now without the battery... because all we have on it are mock up parts
