Congrats Kristen. The RCU continues to grow and help many girls in FIRST and is a wonderful organization you helped found. Bravo for a wonderful career in FIRST from one college mentor to another. Congrats Kristen! You definitely deserve this. I am so glad I got to know you these past months and you live up to all of the dedication that you are honored here for. You are what I would like to call an "action woman" a person that doesn't just say it will get done but actually GETS it done. I don't know what you use to keep you going but let us in on the secret! You've also come through for anything I've ever needed or felt needed attention. By listening to your peers, you show another part of you, a side ready to take visible problems and fix them.

To put it plainly, I'm glad you're getting the recognition you deserve. Kristen Kelso is unsung no more =).

Hmmm it has been quite a while since I first met Kristen Kelso about 10 River Rages ago. I can't think of very many people who match the intensity of Kristen Kelso when it comes to FIRST. Kristen's contributions to all aspects of FIRST and the countless teams she's interacted with are too numerous to name. I think what makes Kristen unique among the community is that for as long as I've known her she has been a true believer in the mission of FIRST, to change the lives of kids. Although maybe she just likes doing "homework" I don't know. Someday I will figure out where she gets her supply of unending energy.

I've met you a few years back and since knowing you and the things you do, it really is amazing. You inspired me to keep on trucking along. I know I can't do as much as you do. You have done so much good and you simply deserve this award from the work with the RCU to the teams you mentor. You are one of the greatest people in FIRST.
