Re: 3 point shots
If I had a nickel for every bounced ball instead of misses, I could fill up the tank on an ORIGINAL Hummer.

Re: 3 point shots
Well when we were designing our robot and getting ideas and such. We came up with a few guidelines we wanted the robot to go by. Such as we want an autonomous mode (of course). We wanted to harvest balls and shoot them to higher goals and lower goals if possible. Well once we finally ended with an idea we decided to build from the ground up. Meaning we start with the chassis and then the harvester, and the transmission, and once we get to the top than we would work with the shooter. Well by the time we got to the top of the robot. We weighed it and it was about 90 lbs meaning not enough weight to put the shooter and whatnot. So yea we started with the idea that we wanted the shooter and ended up with something else completely different.

Re: 3 point shots
Same as sanddrag and donut. We are pretty much trying for all three tactics, and though we've got plenty of prototypes, we still don't have anything as far as the final robot built... Hopefully we'll have a drivetrain soon though. As per the usual, defense won't be a problem with a high tourqe drivetrain and a base like a tank.
