Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview

Thought I would point out that IE7 Beta Preview 2 is available for download from Microsoft .Overall the browser seems to be a lot better than IE6 and the addition of tabbed browsing is nice. Once the final version is released I still don't think I'll be switching over from Opera, but once Vista is released its version might be worth it.

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview

Ahhhh!!!! I'm very cautious about acepting beta software from Microsoft. It seems to be very buggy in annoying ways. Their beta visual studio really screwed up my computer when I tried to uninstall it. But who knows, maybe the IE team is a little more on their feet. Looks like an attractive interface though.

Isn't good engineering stealing from the best, and inventing the rest? Oh, now I see it, Microsoft didn't invent anything. Shows ya' how powerful the Open Source part of the sofware world is.

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview

It looks like it's going to blend in just fine when Microsoft releases Windows longhorn...errr I mean Vista.

It's got that whole "Candy Jewl" look to it.

I think I'll stay with my good 'ol FireFox.

Re: Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview

tabbed browsing interfaces all look the same. Yeah no variety what so ever.

I tried IE 7 beta 2 as soon as it poped up on Digg, and I found it faster than IE 6 (thanks to the invention of tabbed browsing) but it's still slower than Firefox and Firefox is slower than Opera (unless your on a Mac, where Safari is the fastest) But Microsoft is taking baby steps, rumors of releaseing the source code, tabbed browsing, what's next? Vista built on a Linux platform?

Check this out, it's pretty intresting http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/a...oughts_on.html
