single or a rendering farm?

I was wondering how other teams are rendering. Are you using one computer or an couple of computers? Our programmer set me up a rendering farm that consist of 12 COMPUTERS ALL USING BACK BURNER. Its amazing

. don't ask me how he did it, i don't know.
