I somewhat question if the safety glasses hurt me or saved me. I tell you what, the gentleman(who shall remain nameless ) who threw that ball had some force going behind it. It was a freight train closing on my head. Sometimes people just have to learn the hard way.

During Rebound week, there was a pindodge Tournament between all the classes. For those of you who are wondering what pindodge is, it's just dodgeball, but our school lets us play it because the "other" way to win is to knock down bowling pins. One game was played each day after school. Since most of our robotics team is juniors, we hauled our prototype shooter out for our first match (juniors v. 8th graders). Unfortunately, administration thought it would be unsafe and wouldn't let us use it. Fortunately, according to teachers who heard about it from the underclassmen later, we scared the bejesus out of them. Also, no way was it unsafe. Those baseball players were throwing way faster than 12 m/s.
