Power Up Calibration for Autonomous
We are wondering how much time, if any, we will be allowed to have the robot powered on prior to switching to autonomous mode and starting the game. Some of our algorithms, as well as some sensors, require calibration time.

Re: Power Up Calibration for Autonomous
Once the robot is on the field where you want it, you turn it on. From that point until auto mode starts, anything that doesn't need to wait for enabling can run.

Re: Power Up Calibration for Autonomous
Traditionally, after the robots are placed and powered up, and after the people placing the robot make their way to the alliance stations, the field announcer introduces each team by name and number, leaving time for the spectators to cheer. You ought to be able to count on at least 30 seconds of "on" time before the match begins.
