Re: Team 293 Video of Shooter

Your serpentine S-shaped launcher is the same one my son and I prototyped as a proposal for our team. Glad to see someone is using it -- I think (*cough* modestly *cough*) it's a great design. We actually used small serpentine wheels (2-1/2 inches) and had a 3-curve design with three wheels. Nicely done, although the video makes it look like your launch velocity is well over 12 m/sec (distances are hard to judge in tiny videos). Really nice job.

Nice grouping!

I love the S-shaped ball feeder.

Sort of reminds me of Trogdor

If only you had a beefy arm ;-)

Well done.

Burning all the competition!

I find it amusing how when you shoot the balls sometimes they bounce back and hit the incoming ball in mid air

It looks amazing to boot.

That would be unlikely in competition, the goal should catch our shots. Although it goes to show you the consistency of the shooter, every ball at the same height, angle, and speed.

I can't wait till my team sends me video of the full robot driving around, I am away at college, and this is the only taste of robotic home I get
