Camera focus

we have our camera mount all done and we had code and it worked fine. We took a sanp shot and it was very clear. But when we put it away and got it out the next day our focus was messed up. we took a screenshot and it was really blurry. we have tried to get it clear but we cant. how can we do this without turning it 1/2 way left or right to focus. also our camera can find and track the light within 3-4 feet. when we get out of that range the camera can't find the light. do we first have to refocus before we can track the light farther away?

Re: Camera focus

You should only need to focus it one time. When you focus it, everything except objects within a few feet should be pretty clear. After it's focussed, don't turn the lens anymore and then you should be all set.

I know last year some teams suggested wrapping teflon tape (used in plumbing) around the lens several times to help keep it in position once the focus was achieved... (just a thought).

Re: Camera focus

for tracking the light, you need to use LabView GUI to reconfigure it a bit more

Re: Camera focus

My Team has been having a similar problem with the camera. It can track the light within a certain distance but once you move farther away it stops. Do we need to refocus the camera or could this be a problem with the code? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
