Re: pic: 1559 Robot

OK I've looked at it magnified and I can't figure it out. What is the board above the radio controller? It looks like it has a bunch of wires running into it and as close as I can tell it's a soldier board. By the way, that robot is a beauty.

Re: pic: 1559 Robot

Thanks, for the compliment! Well, we are quite proud of that little board. It is an LED board with an arrow pointing UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT, and it points in the direction the the operator needs to aim the cannon in order to make the goal, and when it is aimed right the arrows blink all together. Its coupled to the camera and some sweet software our programmers wrote that lines the gun up perfectly with the green light. If all goes well, we will have it work in autonomous too!

That sounds like a neat and innovative solution. Can't wait to see it in action.

Re: pic: 1559 Robot

I'm not sure if i get the idea totally...
why not just have the camera aim the shooter? rather than having it turn on different lights and stuff ? or is it just easier that way
