Threading tool not working.... strange?

Running XP SP2 with Inventor 10 build 272 SP3a, which has all the hot fixes and service pack updates. I have tried to install this 3 times and 2 times on my lap top also with no luck. Same thing always, I click on the threading tool in the panel and nothing happens. It does say at the bottom that it is loading the thread data table, but as I said nothing happens, no crash no action, and if I select another task tool, it works fine. If I try to make a bolt or nut with ifeature, I get errors on it trying to generate one.
Has anyone else had any similar problems or does anyone have solutions to this.
by the way, the bolt generator seems to work, but that is it.

I have had this problem as well. I tend to not use the threading feature though... but then again, I don't have any fasteners in my model yet!

You can find some good iParts of nuts, bolts, screws, etc at http://www.cbliss.com. Those may help.

Re: Threading tool not working.... strange?

Daniel,

Thanks for the feedback. It would really be nice if I could at least use the iparts without it giving me errors. I think it has somethng to do with fact that the threading tool does not work primarily.

Still wonder if anyone out there has any possible solutions to this problem.

Re: Threading tool not working.... strange?

Still looking for feedback. I found a forum in German with a gentlemen that is having the same issues as me. I keep updates and service packs up to date, so I don't know why this threading tool is not working for me.
Anyways the link is in German, but here is the translated page link:
Google translated link
What he explains is exactly what I am going through, and I have all that is suggested to be installed. So does anyone able to read German, and translate the last forum entry?

Any help greatly appreciated.
