Anyway, nice bot. The green worries me and I can easily see DQ issues from the green (especially on the shooter... our camera is locked pointing up so it eliminates a lot of the green problem but if you have green up that high...).
The lettering on our bumpers was spray painted using stencils. Simple, yet effective. We have no idea how well they will hold up in matches. We will see.

Regarding the details and specs on TerMOEnator, you will have to check back on our website in a couple of days. We should have some specs up this weekend.

Also, regarding how we get the balls from our hopper to our lift, you'll have to see us in action to know. This was a critical part of our robot design.

At 9:05 tonight (Monday), we crated the bot up. So, it is all ready for pickup tomorrow.

Good luck to all teams in having a low stress last few hours with your babies before you send them off to boarding school!

Re: pic: MOE 365 Robot - TerMOEnator

Ahhhh sneeky... the robot actually has a guider for the shot. so the feeder is in the front and instead of shooting the ball out the back its shooting it back in the direction of the feeder. thus it goes over their robot, totally unblockable. the balls are fed to the shooter by a conveyer system at the back end of the robot which i presume is a zig-zag conveyer system..... very nice. Impressive indeed. im surprised u guys didnt get overweight.. also its a single motor shooter different from most robots i guess thats why u need the guider. I think thats what it is but not too sure. still i like the looks of it.

On the note of them not passing inspection isnt the detection thing like on top of the goal which is 8 foot high, so if ur robot is looking below 5 feet its probably doing something wrong i presume unless you have a random checker which just looks for the color instead of at a specific point or in a specific direction.

neways c ya guys in philly should be some nice matches.

ummm... this year camera checks for luminance as well as color so i don't think that a flat green will confuse it...
anyways good job! great design

Hauppage isn't coming to Philly this year? We'll miss you guys. Where is the Robotic Eagle going for regionals?

Hopefully, we can catch you on one of the broadcast/webcasts!

I'm not so sure about their intentions. I base my suspicions on little clues like 30 ft towers in the pits (to induce vertigo) and bringing huge numbers of MOE-green clad enthusiastic supporters (to divert attention).

Who can forget MOEsticks?! These insidious devices sole purpose was to deafen their opponents, who would then take the oh-so-conveniently offered MOE-green earplugs further limiting their ability to hear queueing calls and coach's instructions.

MOE may have never intended to jam opponent's robots senses, but I submit that team 365 has for years been carrying out a very effective campaign to defeat their human opponents before they even reach the playing field!

Really, look no further than this blatant attempt to demoralize the competition with this picture of the TerMOEnator. Think of all the teams, now quaking in their shoes after seeing this piece of green robotic purposefulness.

I look forward to gathering more evidence of MOE's intentions in Pittsburgh and Philly this year, and hope to see them at the sharp end of the eliminations - this would be proof positive of their dastardly scheme!

Pete, I've always suspected you were a closet conspiracy theorist! Now you've confirmed it!

Hey there MOE,

Looks like you might have been able to pull off a competitive robot without me.

Good luck, let me know how it all goes.

You would be correct. We actually tested to see if our camera (and presumably everyone else’s) would follow our shirts or our robot instead of the illuminated target. To the best of my knowledge the camera had no problem deciphering the two. There is no reason to believe that any team's camera will be influenced by terMOEnator's colour scheme.
