Project does not build

My project won't build, no error pops up, it just freezes up for a sec, then does nothing.

Have you scrolled down the project window (if you are using mplab) and found the error window? Should be a small white box with lots of wording in it as you hit build stuff will scroll down. Usually by default this is found at the very bottom of the project workspace, I alway spull it up into the top part to make more visable.

Re: Project does not build

When I run into problems like these, I usually re download the default code and make all my changes AGAIN, which sucks. If that doesn't work, completely uninstall the compiler and all its components and then reinstall them (this worked for me countless times). If all this fails, then just start over on a fresh new computer.
