Re: What Techno songs should be played at regionals?

You can't play all techno at the regionals! You always need some good rock, pop, and party music! But as for a few good techno songs, why not some of the songs from DDR? Here are a few of the good ones that I found on Archive.org.

Re: What Techno songs should be played at regionals?

I'm up for any techno, as long as they don't play it more than twice over the course of the event. (Once would be the ideal, but I'll let a replay slide.)

There's plenty of music out there under Creative Commons licenses, and I'd imagine that FIRST qualifies under the NonCommercial licenses (although IANAL). I amassed a pretty big selection of songs last summer for the Capital Clash, mixed in with some promo podcasts I got permission to use and a little DSATKB, and it went over well.

Jeez, Spybreak is something else, great song. Personally, I think jugs-entrance, mercs-entrance, kr-action3, kr-action2v2, kr-action1, kr-chemical-burn, and kr-dm1 are really good techno songs from, of all places, a game! UT2K4! Speaking of game music, how about the music from ultimate doom? Or how about Final Fantasy VIII's theme song prior to the Chairman's Award Presentation? (I know it's not techno)
