Re: Second Question for survey

i'm not understanding it...by preference you mean that if I was sponsored by GM I'd rather buy their cars than Toyota's or something (maybe not that extreme, but that's the idea)?

This is kind of what I mean, but here's what I hope to see from this. If your team is sponsored by a University or even a company you are more likely to attend the univerity or work or buy from that compnay.

Thanks for asking these questions, i will try and respond as promtply as possible.

Re: Second Question for survey

well the only sponsor that we have that this would apply to is Google, but I preferred them before they sponsored us, so I can't really say.

Re: Second Question for survey

For me, it's more that I know the company's name and I know what they do ... so if I'm in the market for something they produce, I'll look to them first because I already have that contact. However, if they don't have what I need, another company has it significantly cheaper, service is bad, etc. I wouldn't feel bad using another company.

ok, fair enough i suppose. Is there a company that sponsors the actual FIRST organization that you now like becuase of their involvement? Do you get the idea? If your team doesn't apply to the question at all I'm not going to hold it against you if you don't vote.

Re: Second Question for survey

FIRST definitely becomes part of the culture in any company that has a team mentored by their engineers, scientist, technicians.

I would say that any company that sponsors a team for more than a year must 'get' what FIRST is all about, and that will have a positive impact on the way things are done in that company (university, organization... whoever the sponsor is).
