I'll raise my hand as the first to agree with Corey. We've only been to Nationals twice, but it seems we had a bunch of the same teams in our division each time. Maybe divisions could be arranged by a point system?
A regional participation gets you 1 point. Being one of the Top 8 teams is 2 points. Regional finalist is 3 points. Regional Winner is 5 points. After all points are distributed, teams could be sorted the same way they are now, starting with the top ranked team and going down the list, assigned each team the next division. (In case of a tie in points, teams can be sorted by team number, or randomly.) This system would assure every division is fun to watch and compete in.
