Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Id agree with you there, but you would get complaints saying that some divisions were walkovers, and some were impossible...basically, not enough parity.

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
As long as you've left out 492, your list is wrong.

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
I just looked at the list of registered teams for the event. How do you check which division you're in? or did you just take them in numerical order and sort them?

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Divisions aren't officially released till the week before Atlanta. But this sorting is the way that it has been done for the past couple years.

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
Yeah...in the revision archemedes is absolutely stacked...the original divisions were pretty even, but i'd give the toughest nod to newton...i hope they randomize it, but I know they won't

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
What if they randomize it within each block of 100 team numbers? Put teams 1-100 in a "box" and "draw" them out. Then do the same for 101-200, 201-300, etc. It could easily be computerized.

Re: 2006 Championship Divisions
archmeides was stacked, the division championships would be tougher than Einstein.
What if it worked out like A C G N 1 9 16 22 4 11 20 25 27 38 45 48 33 40 47 49 59 65 67 70 60 66 69 71 74 85 87 93 79 86 88 108 ect. ect. Basically 2 teams go to Archimedes, then 2 to Curie, then 2 to Galileo and then 2 to Newton. This way you'd get to see some teams that are side by side without completely stacking the competition like Karthik. (notice how he had all the Niagra FIRST teams in the same division) Last edited by Conor Ryan : 27-02-2006 at 09:47. |

honestly its you make a program that says give # 1 2 3 4 --> XXX teams that are competeting in nationals an a b c or d in random order and once this many # of a's hits xx then stop giving out that letter... not hard... not random... and it would work for endless seasons to come since its randomly generated just like thier match lists... =D... easy... so yes it would be meaningful and no it wouldnt over complicate things... i think i answered everything =D Last edited by Heretic121 : 16-03-2006 at 03:03. |
