703 IN ACTION

http://media.putfile.com/703-in-action

Here is our 2006 robot. The driving is kind of shakey because we have new driver, but he has been getting better. It has a very low CG, so tipping on the ramp should not happen to often, but it did make me kind of nervous on the video.

Let me know what you guys thinks.

We are going to Detroit, Toronto, and Buckeye.

I hope we do as good this year as we did last year.

I have to second that. That's an impressive demonstration video.

Re: 703 IN ACTION

Thats a very nice robot you have there, we had similar ideas about using a simple shooter and shooting from the ramp, but we got too ambitious, attempted a turret, and were unable to complete it due to a few unfortunate events in our engineers personal lives'.

Re: 703 IN ACTION

Thanks for all the encouraging words everybody. We are very proud of our "baby" this year and we are looking forward to competitions.

One of the things we are proud of that you can't see in the video is the drive system. We are using all 6 available CIM motors (4 small and 2 big) to drive the BrecoFlex treads. And just like our past 2 years, we are doing it with no chain, only spur gears right to the tread pulleys.

Good luck to everybody;
Matt B.
