We have a similar written test to the one posted above as well as a Driving Skills test.
Its very important for the drivers to know the rules. A lot of times, as the driver, you can't hear the coach anyways. As one of our mentors pointed to a student who said "I think knowing the controls is more important than knowing the rules" "Knowing the rules is much more important, you can't get lots of penalties by just sitting there not moving."
