UTC + CAPT Testing

Are any other CT teams running into problems with the CAPT testing coninciding with the UTC regional? None of our freshman or sophomores can go Thursday or Friday.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

As far as i know there isnt any problems having our freshmen go. And I dont think we have any sophomores on the team this year (strange). For Platt its just the Sophomores who take CAPT. Then Juniors if they failed a section.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

Not really. We have CAPT testing on Thursday, but we're only sending up 5 kids, which is drive team plus some other indispensable members, none of which happen to be sophomores or freshman. Friday we have a regular schedule in school, no CAPTs...I don't know why, perhaps it is because of UTC, though probably not. So we don't really have that much of a problem.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

some people are acutally taking them after they are given. i heard from one of our teachers that as long as the test is sent out by the end of march, it is alright.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

Team 237 is also having these problems, and as of now I think we are letting kids go as long as they arrange to make them up at a later time.

For those CT Juniors and Seniors that passed your CAPTs, say hello to some relaxing time before UTC

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

Isn't it true that CAPT is a state-wide testing? so every single sophomore in CT will be taking the math on Monday at a certain time and so forth? We have no CAPT scheduled for Friday, which hopefully means the same for other schools as well.

I know the UTC regional already moved the VEX competition from Thursday to Friday because of the CAPT.

As for me? Hello, relaxation.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

RAGE is not going to have about half a drive team Thursday of UTC because of CAPT and preCAPT testing for our sophomores and freshmen... Hopefully we will be able to get some people there to at least test the bot and work out any kinks.

Since Southington High School had a 1/2 day today, the CAPT schedule got changed and the sophomores/freshman/retesting juniors and seniors now have a test scheduled for next Friday.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

We'll be missing some of our younger members - only one or two of the three 571 schools are required to take the test.

Re: UTC + CAPT Testing

Our [FRC] team should be fine, as most of the critical students on the team are now juniors or seniors. But as for our Vex team, that is another story. Since they are mostly freshmen and sophomores, it will be tough because of CAPT. We should be able to get enough of the Vex members there for at least a drive team until the rest of the team will arrive at 11 AM.

I'm a junior, but I have way too much to get done by then to relax! At least for Monday-Wedneday next week the juniors and seniors do not have to come to school until 11:00 AM when the CAPT testing is over. Sweeeeet!
