40 had holomonic drive. Their autonomous, and great shooting ability got them to the semis. They also had traction plates which they lowered in when they were going to shoot, which were basically two 8" squares covered in grippy stuff. They worked well, but they still got pushed around by AM transmissions and six wheel drives (1138 did it in the qualifiers, and we did it in the semis). This game is all about the drivetrain. You can have the best shooter, but if you can't get into and hold your position, you won't score. Good shooting is so hard to find at a regional, that if you can do it you are essentially putting a big "hit me really really hard" sign on your robot.

213 had a kiwi drive. They had had a very smart, skilled driver. When pitted against them we had planned to push them out of our way, but couldn't. They had a really good dumper robot, so I'm sure they're kiwi drive helped them pick up balls.
