Thanks again to 272 and 174 though.
Thanks a lot . We had some trouble early Friday, but were able to get our robot up and running again. Our robot was designed to be both a good offensive and defensive robot, and we are quite proud of our placement. 272, 174, and 494 made an awesome finals that was quite exciting. If any of you are going to Boilermaker, watch out for us. Our robot is fully fucntional, we got programmers working dillengently, and the driver, human player, and button monkey (that's me) have lots of practice and are ready to take Boilermaker by storm.

Hey man no problem, it was a lot of fun being in a team with you! We never lost a match against our alliance and i think that is just really cool. We couldn't have done it without your awsome autonomous mode. I guess we will see you guys at nationals?

I wasn't at Buckeye this year (same weekend as my home regional) but I did help with robot inspections there last year. Lead inspector Joe Saus has several years experience now; he is a gracious professional and a very reasonable guy. I'm certain that his only intention on the issue of AndyMark omnis and IFI traction wheels was to ensure uniform inspection standards. And he got the call right in the end. Please keep in mind these are both new COTS components for 2006 so Joe's inspection team probably had no previous exposure to them.

We had both a center goal (with light) and a corner goal on the practice carpet in the back of the pit area in St. Louis. The reason we had these is that a member of our regional planning committee very graciously built them himself in his own shop before our remote kick-off event -- they were not provided by FIRST headquarters. I think similarly dedicated regional volunteers are responsible for any practice goals that you may see at other events.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.
