2006 Detroit Regional Thanks

So Detroit was awesome this year, we need a thread to thank everyone who made this thing happen!

First off, I'd like to thank my kids. You were all awesome!!! And thank you also for the lovely toilet paper decorations that you left on my car this morning...

Thank you so much to all of the teams that supplied us with tools and parts when needed. I heard the number 33 come up often when the pit kids were talking about this, so a special thanks to them.

Thanks to Karthik who was my absolute saving grace this weekend. From keeping me sane to helping us figure out which machines would best compliment ours in an alliance, thank you, thank you, thank you!

To Steve, who drove all the way down to Detroit to emcee our competition! Talk about a trip! Not only was there gas money to consider, but also significant investments for hair products! Thanks Steve, you were great.

To all the teams, thanks for making this a blast for our first 2006 regional!

Re: 2006 Detroit Regional Thanks

Team Phoenix - 703 would like to give a heartfelt thanks to our alliance partners 818 and 1602. Thank you for making it an amazing finals.

I also need to warn the teams attending the Palmetto Regional. Look out for 818. The were one of the most powerful teams in Detroit and seemed to be under-appreciated for some reason. Their bot is an absolute tank. It nearly im-movable and it has a highly accurate shooter. We were thrilled to be able to choose them for our alliance.

Re: 2006 Detroit Regional Thanks

Congratulations to our neighbor Team 379 from Girard, OH on winning the Detroit Regional Engineering Inspiration Award! I understand the Robocats are now trying their best to sign up for Atlanta. This is great news! The Championship could always use some tough, reliable corner goal scoring bots.
