Go to Post The toughest part about that Chairman's Award was the fact that someone was cutting onions in the stands near 558/on the field while it was being read out. At least that was the excuse I'm going to use ;) - esquared [more]

Transportation To Atlanta

Hey guys,
Team 612 is having a blast so far. We won the Engineering Inspiration Award at NASA/VCU Regional, and Chairmans Award at the Chesapeake Regional. Not only that, our head mentor, Jerry Skene, won the Woodie Flower Award at Chesapeake. After all this accomplishments, we are now eligible to go to Atlanta. But our team is facing some financial issues. So far we had enough money to register for the trip, but now we are trying to find the cheapest way possible to get down to Atlanta. We looked through the flight plans and charter busses and finally figure out that each member and team itself has to input a lot of money to get down to Atlanta, plus the lodging.
I was just wondering if theres any Team on the East Coast, around Virginia, who would be able to give us a ride down to Atlanta. We will share the cost of the charter bus. It will not only save us some money, but it will be cheaper for the other team two, as they will be sharing their bus with us. Or if theres any team who would like us to charter a bus and like to share it with us, we can do that too.
Our exact location is

4201 Stringfellow Rd.
Chantilly VA, 20151.

we are only 25 minutes away from I-95.

Please feel free to give us some other ideas too. Thanks

Good luck with the rest of the season.

ps our team consist of 25 people.
