Making the VEX OI (controller) beep?

I noticed when you turn on the VEX radio controller, or use the mode/select buttons, it'll beep. Is there a way to MAKE it beep with a line of code? It'd make for a good way to have feedback since there (as far as I know) isn't a way to hook up LED's for feedback.

Question 2 is that can I actually use the LCD on the radio controller to display feedback?

Thanks,
-Mike

Re: Making the VEX OI (controller) beep?

somebody correct me if this is wrong but...

the VEX controller (the big thing with joysticks) is a one way street. It sends data out, but receives no data from the vex micro controller. You can view the battery voltage of the controller itself, but not anything on the actual robot. Sorry if this ruins any cool plans you had...

The VEX controler does not receive any data back from the "RC" unit.
