Re: Robotics Chants

Our team doesn't really have a chant, but we all do the "penguin dance" whenever the Penguinbot does something cool or if we're on the big screen.

Re: Robotics Chants

OKay... 648 compares to MOE in spirit IMHO.

Completely original....

"No loose screws... We're ALL nuts!!!"

Sometimes we chant the drive team members' names... often it's my name b/c I guess waving your hands trying to get the team fired up means scream... "BUUUUUDDA! BUUUUDDA!"

"1-2-3-4-5 648 don't take no jive... 6-7-8-9-10 back it up let's do it again!"

Remember the Titans knockoff:
"Oddy oddy OIIY, Oddy Oddy OIIY... Everywhere we go... (team repeat) People wanna know... (team repeat) Who we are... (team repeat) So we tell them... (team repeat) We are the QC... (team repeat) Mighty, Mighty QC... (team repeat) Oddy oddy OIIY, Oddy Oddy OIIY.. Hoohah oh yea!"

6-4-8

There's one more but it's so long I don't remember it completely.

*sidenote* It was exilerating hearing us and team 107 cheering when we were in the quarterfinals at MWR together. It was deafening loud.

Re: Robotics Chants

Gotta love Westside Boiler Invasion's chant - even the emcee gets into it

Let's all go nuts!
ROBOTS! ROBOTS!

With Purdue mentoring 3 teams at the BMR, there was quite a bit of "Boiler Up!" I had to remind myself I wasn't a stupurduedent anymore and not to chant along.
I still like ours - our robot's name is Lucky - funny story but that's for another post - we'd shout
"Get Lucky!"
"On your team!"
during the alliance pickings.
Unfortunately, with only 11 students and one mentor we got drowned out.

Smile Re: Robotics Chants

We have the ever traditional, let's go red/blue team, then someone bangs on a water jug (which we blatantly stoll from team 88, the idea, not the jug, thanks guys). We also did "Do it up Ashley" for our human player last year (she was very popular with our drivers until we redid the arm, then she got to do almost nothing in atlanta) This year we usually yell at Kristine, although there is no chant. When we cheer for someone on the drive team, it's almost always the girl. You'll probably never here let's go Nick/Martin/Gary/H. Probably because the people starting the cheers are two girls who've had way too much redbull.

Speaking of 88, who can forget "How You doin'"

Re: Robotics Chants

Heh, this thread reminds me of last year at nationals, when we were at the GM teams meeting, and a "We got spirit how about you" chant got going around. It went from team to team five or six times, then one of them made the mistake to point to our team. Dead silence. Then laughter.

Re: Robotics Chants

Our team is kind of odd! I'm not really sure where these got started, but here are our favorite things to yell at events:

"DOOT-TA-DO" and

"We're bad,
we're awesome,
hit them in the head with a big, dead opposum!
ooh
ah
ooh
ah"

Yep...we are odd, but we have fun!!
