2006 Robotics Conference at Championships

Hello,

I'm looking for some feedback and suggestions about the Robotics Conference that's being held in conjunction with the Championships

- what are prior attendees impressions of these conferences
- if I purchase 1 to 3 individual tickets, can these be shared among team members, or can that only be done if I purchase the team "pack of 5"
- do you need to pre-register for certain conference events, or can you go to any of the ones for the day(s) that you're registered?
- how feasible is it to get to and from the conference and FRC pits/arena? (not knowing my team's schedule until probably Thursday April 27th makes the planning for these conf. events that much more difficult

Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

Chris Nalbone

Re: 2006 Robotics Conference at Championships

The Conference planning committee works very hard to bring you the best selection of presentations by the best of your peers in FIRST. It is a wonderful opportunity for your team to learn more about FIRST as well as network with other people from around the world!

"You can register as an individual or register for 5 passes that will allow any five members of your team to attend sessions. We know the FIRST Championship is busy! Feel free to share passes among your team members." You can register for a pass to attend any presentation on Thursday, a separate one for Friday, a separate one for Saturday, or a pass that allows you to attend all three days. You must pre-register, but you can attend any session on any of the days you have purchased a pass for. In other words, if you purchase a "team pass" you will be able to send up to 5 people to any session they want to attend, on the day(s) you have registered for.

Last year the conference sessions were held one level above and adjacent to the pits in the World Congress Center. The pits are a bit of a walk to the Georgia Dome so allow for several minutes to get between the buildings.

Re: 2006 Robotics Conference at Championships

The 2006 Conference Presentations have been posted on the FIRST website at http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2006...sentations.htm

Thank you to the presenters who graciously volunteered their time to prepare and give these workshops in Atlanta, as well as allowing FIRST to post them online so all of us could benefit from their expertise.
