Congratulations to all rookies!

I wanted to take this time to congratulate all the rookie teams at the various regionals who won Rookie Inspiration, Rookie All-Star, and Highest Seeded Rookie Team, in addition to any other awards. You guys have inspired us all with your dedication and hard work in your very first year of participation in FRC. Team 75 is proud to see rookie teams popping up everywhere and on behalf of them and every other team, we want to congratulate you on your outstanding achievement

This is also posted in the awards section, since it seems appropriate for both.

Re: Congratulations to all rookies!

On behalf of team 246, I would like to second this.

Boston had an amazing pool of rookies. I was glad to have had a chance to work with a bunch of you, and I was very impressed.

And to the teams that won rookie awards, congratulations! In a pool of 14 rookie teams, you really need to stand out and you did a great job.

Re: Congratulations to all rookies!

I would like to congratulate all rookies who even attempted to build a robot this year. Remember FIRST is not about the awards it is about the experience. There are not enough awards to go to everyone who deserves them.

Re: Congratulations to all rookies!

Well put, my personal addendum:

For even making it to a regional, the rookie teams deserve an insane congratulations... The fact that you worked hard to get this program off the ground in your school is an insane accomplishment. Thanks to dk5sm5luigi for pointing out that the awards are second to the initial success of these groups of people in starting up a team and making it to their events!

Re: Congratulations to all rookies!

A big old "Giddy Up" to the rookies.

You just had a hard year. Next year will be harder, because now you know what you are getting into. But it's worth it.

(It's like licking a 9v battery. The first time you do it, you don't know it's comming, so it's OK. The second time you do it, you know it's comming and it's harder to do. Of course, FIRST is good for you, and licking a 9v battery is just stupid.)
