Okay, I can't help it...
Cotton Eyed Joe & Final Countdown.

C'mon, how can you NOT play Final Countdown during finals?

Rock You Like A Hurricane- The Scorpions

Would that be "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen? That's my new favorite song because of the timing at Chesapeake; we were walking off the field after our last match of Friday, it was our 8th win in an undefeated day..."Another One Bites the Dust" played, and I cracked up and started singing along.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

Well, since I am on team 418, and our nickname is Purple Haze, my vote goes to Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.

And, a funny story...
Last year during the finals I went down to the DJ and asked him to play Purple Haze. He did a search and didn't find it, so he asked me who it was by. A little suprised I said "Jimi Hendrix" so he did a search for "Jimmy." I gave up and went back to the stands, only to hear Purple Rain start.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

I like Animals by Nickelback... pretty much the most vulgar song played at a regional. ^_^ I was suprised to hear it at West Michigan.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

I was very pleased that at GTR they played Rob Zombies Feel So Numb and the Mortal Kombat theme and that they cut down severly on the overplayed Cotten Eyed Joe.

GTR HAD THE BEST MUSIC EVER!!!!!!!!

I loved all the mashups (who could hate a Britney Spears - Toxic vs Usher - Yeah mashup? As soon as I heard that I was like.. hey.. I have that. SWEET!!!), and I'm sorry I missed the Rob Zombie song..

Whoever was the DJ at GTR needs to be the DJ at our (yet to be announced) division in Atlanta..

The DJ at GTR is one of the reasons I want to go there next year.
Just one reason, but a big reason.

The best part was they didn't play the new FIRST themes!

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

The Final Countdown by Europe, is the greatest song they can play at any regional. It was our team's official theme song my freshman year (we had a laptop with a timer set up in the pits to play it 5 minutes before we needed to que), and I will force it upon the club next year again.

In addition I need to hear Song 2 (by Blur) and Sirius (it's just not the playoffs without it) at least once at a regional. And throw in Cotton Eyed Joe, YMCA, or Macerana for the mascots to dance to (but please not all of them in a row!).

Was it a guy's voice singing it, and did it go more like..

DUB DUB DUB DUH DUH DUB DUB DUB... and.. it repeated for sometime..

I'm thinking it was like.. Scooter? I know the voice sounds familiar..

If it's not the same song, does anyone know this song I mean as well?

I know the "Dub Dub" song, but I've never heard it at a regional.

This is what you mean I assume?

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

my favorite was the GTR DJ played Positive Vibes from the Kottonmouth Kings.
for those that know them, wow
and for those that don't, they are a rock rap group that is very nonfirst spirit oriented, except like 2 or 3 songs off of their Rollin' Stoned album which Positive Vibes was on.

Re: What was your favorite song they played?

At the MWR this year, Team Striker, 101, used a Blues Bother's theme. They gave the CD to the DJ and every time they took the field he played another cut. The crowd went wild. The opening music to the original film...
"She caught the Katy
And left me a mule to ride
She caught the Katy
And left me a mule to ride
Now my baby caught the Katy
Left me a mule to ride
The train pulled out
I swung on behind
Crazy 'bout her
That hard headed woman of mine"
Words & Music by Taj Mahal & Yank Rachel
