I heard a rumor somewhere that SOAP was going to webcast/archive the Philly regional? Any truth behind this? Or was it indeed just a rumor?

Based on the list of folder on the archive site they will only be archiving Boilermaker Boston Florida Palmetto and Virginia

Nope, its true that Soap 108 was archiving the footage.

Any idea as to what they archived/when it will be up?

Also I was wondering how SOAP manages to capture all these matches at all these regionals? It seems like quite the feat

I am probably the source of this rumor on these forums. I heard about the webcast from an event organizer (I can't remember which one). I also saw a DVD recorder hooked up to the feed that looked like it belonged to Soap (right next to the 291 VCR). The plan is to archive the matches on Soap (obviously not a live webcast). I imagine it will take a few days for Soap to get the DVDs and edit them. I would like to hear Soap comment on this matter to be sure

I'm a long time away from making a "Greatest play-by-play calls" montage. I just wanted to show my boss some footage of the regional since he's thinking of donating money, and I thought Philly would be an excellent event to show him...but thanks for the compliment on my play calling.

To put the rumor to rest, my team (go 357!) did record the Philadelphia Regional for SOAP. I am currently working on uploading the files, so it should hopefully be up very soon.

Thank you guys. We always take video with cameras, but having the real time scoring system and announcer is always nice, too!
